First creation....

How excited are you about a new year?

I'm very excited I have to say. 

You get a fresh start and a whole lot of "first's, right?

I don't make New Year resolutions, but rethink what worked for me last year and what could use some change and I go from there.

So this year I want to get better organized with my time as I have a lot more on my plate

and it felt like I was chasing my own tail for most of the time .

Keeping track of everything was a problem too. 

I believe I have a bit of ADD as well and get overwhelmed when I have too much in my head and then 

everything comes to a halt because I don't know what to do first.

More about that in a later post, when my new customized planner arrives.  :)

For now it's easy to keep track and here you see one of my first customs of 2014.

The good thing about the start of the year for me is that the busy time at my day job is over and things calm down and I have any or just a few custom orders lined up.

This here is one of them.

An owl for a soon to be born grandchild.

Yesterday was spend with cutting out fabrics, sewing the parts together...

...stuffing them with soft, fluffy wool.....

....and hand stitching the parts in place and embroidering the face.

This is the finished owl.

I love the leaf fabric. It's so versatile !

There will be a change in the owls this year. I feel they need to be a bit different and 

I have already some good ideas.

A Give Away

Last weekend I reached 900 likes on my facebook page

As a thank you to all the lovely people that got us there I am 

having a give away for this cuddly owl.

She is about 11 inches (28 cm) tall and made from all natural materials and stuffed with

soft sheep wool.

New items for the market

I have been busy over the last few weeks , creating items for the market.

Still not even close to being done, but a great start.

This is Lucy

She is a 12 inch cuddle doll

 Her cotton dress is reversible and has velcro closure for easy dressing

 How about this cute pocket pirate with bag?

The bag has a velcro closure and can be hung from a belt loop.

I think he's just too cute!

 This little girl comes with a flower purse 

Then there's also a pocket gnome with a mushroom hat and mushroom.

I also made a bunch of new Mini Babies......

.......and Bunny Blankets.

Before we moved....

We just moved from Florida back to Canada , 

but before our house got packed up I was able to squeeze a few more things in.

Yes, I make baby slings too.

Padded ring slings to be precise. 

I love baby wearing and feel it is such a natural,easy way to carry your child this way.

I made and sold slings for many years when my children were small.

My focus is more on my Waldorf inspired dolls and toys now, but I still make some from time to time.

Welcome to my brand new blog!

Since my website is giving me some editing issues I decided that it's time to start a blog just for my dolls and other creations. I will still keep my other blog as well, but more for family life things.

Over the next few days I plan to add more pages to this blog with info about my different types of doll, owls and blankies, ordering and other doll related things.

Today was such a lovely day that I took the owl, that is still available ,outside for her to sit in a tree. She really enjoyed it!

I also wanted to show you a sneek peek of this little sweetheart.

She will be available very soon.
